Travel and Leisure Magazine put out the list back in March, but Yahoo didn't put it on their homepage until today, proving once again that magazine ranking articles are subjective, arbitrary tools for attracting pageviews (and that the strategy works. I did click on it after all.).
The list is apparently actually a sub-list created from the results of an annual survey of T+L readers. Though how the readers came to their conclusions remains a mystery.
One interesting result: Providence's ranking was higher than those of both Boston and Los Angeles, but lower than that of Houston, which usually (for me at least) ranks at the bottom of just about any list.
